MIAMI MAN CLAIMS $265,717 FANTASY 5® TOP PRIZE

TALLAHASSEE --The Florida Lottery announced today that Russell Royce, 70, of Miami, claimed the May 29 $265,717.74 FANTASY 5® top prize.

According to Royce, he has been playing the same numbers for more than ten years and was still in shock that his numbers were finally drawn. The winning FANTASY 5 ticket was purchased from Publix, located at 311 S.W 7th Street in Miami.

Total ticket sales for this top prize generated more than $342,000 for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF). Since 1988, the Florida Lottery has contributed more than $21 billion to the EETF, benefiting our students and schools, as well as funding more than one million Bright Futures scholarships. By a two-to-one margin, Florida voters in 1986 approved a constitutional amendment authorizing the state to operate a lottery for the purpose of generating significant additional moneys for education.

The next FANTASY 5 drawing will be held tonight at 11:15 p.m. ET. Webcasts of Florida Lottery drawings are available on the Lottery's Web site at flalottery.com.
