ORLANDO WOMAN WINS $200,000 POWERBALL® PRIZE TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Lottery today announced today that Raquel Perez, 25, of Orlando, claimed $200,000 from the POWERBALL® drawing held on April 7. She would have won $1 million had she purchased Power Play® on her ticket for $1 more. Ms. Perez said she was at home eating breakfast when she found out she was a winner. She is very excited and plans to buy a home and car with her cash prize. Ms. Perez purchased her winning POWERBALL ticket at Island Foods, located at 3011 Goldenrod Road North in Winter Park. POWERBALL jackpots start at $20 million and increase with each rollover. Power Play is an add-on feature to POWERBALL that gives players a chance to win up to $1 million. With the purchase of a POWERBALL ticket players can add Power Play for $1 more per play to multiply their non-jackpot prize winnings. Power Play purchasers who match 5 numbers will win $1 million - the POWERBALL match 5 prize multiplied by 5. All other non-jackpot prizes will be multiplied by the Power Play number, from 2 through 5, selected at draw time. The next POWERBALL drawing will be held Saturday, April 10, at 10:59 p.m. ET with a $150 million jackpot.
